a visit from Lolo and Lola

Back in mid-February, we enjoyed a visit from my parents. Ben calls them Lolo and Lola, what we call grandparents in the Philippines. While my Dad is our "token", he still inherits "Lolo". :) Anyway, for six days we enjoyed spending time together. Ben is a lucky kid to get to be the only grandchild on both sides of our family, and has such a blast every time.

Here are some photos of our time together. Below, Rob and I attended his class' graduation, which was like a night out for us! It was also really neat to see all the students enjoy the moment with their families.
Below are a couple student spouses (Lillian and Barbara) who will be moving on to bigger and better things. We got to know them through attending the same church.Cheese! Enjoying our last meal out at Little Venice - a cute little restaurant in Starkville.
Eating at the good ol' "food court" at the BX/commissary, before a trip to watch the planes at the end of the runway.

me and my qt. these are the moments that i will miss and miss and miss.
what's better than running with sticks?!

getting on his level.
Mom and Dad, we always miss you. And I know that Ben enjoys you both bunches. I was always told being a parent was amazing, but I have heard that being a grandparent is pretty darn fun, too, if not better....

Jenny, what great photos and memories for Ben! Ben and your mom have similar eye color and the same teeth-together smile.

Jenny,

I enjoyed seeing the photos from your parents' visit. :) We, of course, always hear how smart & wonderful Ben is from his proud Lolo & Lola. And, after meeting him last fall, we tend to agree that he is a great kid! :)

Your mom is always telling me how much she enjoys reading your blog. I know they miss you guys lots!

I just can't get over how Ben is going to be 3 next month. Wow, does the time fly or what? I still remember David's 3rd birthday party so well. He was into hockey, so we had a University of Michigan (sorry!) hockey-themed party. Now he's 14. I can't get over how quickly they grow up!

We love you guys & I always enjoy seeing the updates on your blog-- what you're up to and what you're thinking about.

Thanks for posting again!
Amy :)
