a defining moment.

A hamburger bun or a hot dog?

We wanted to announce that we are having a girl!

There isn't much else to say except that we're excited. Rob's a little fearful, but none-the-less, excited! It seems we have already had parenting talks about a teenage girl already in the doctor's office, along with future visits to the shooting range.

The shot we got of her anatomy seemed to be much more obvious than with Ben's. This is not to embarrass our son. But the main difference I can see here, is that Ben's was taken at 25 weeks versus this pregnancy's almost 17 weeks. There is a two month difference in finding out. And while the Ben was bigger when we found out, there was also less room to capture the shot.

This little girl of ours was in what was said to be the perfect position to be able to tell. Sitting, with her legs spread well enough for the world to see. Or at least her excited parents!

A girl!!! So you & your mom (and most everybody else) were right! :) I'll bet your mom is just beside herself with excitement over having a granddaughter! :)

Girls are *definitely* different than boys. But, not to worry... you & Rob will do great parenting a girl!

It's so fun to dress them up in pink, lace & ribbons, and to do their hair. The "princess" phase is a lot of fun, too... Naomi has been full-out in that stage for the past year. :)

I also really like having an older daughter, too. Marissa is my consultant on style for many things... household, clothing and otherwise. It's fun to see her interest in scrapbooking & crafting grow. There's just something about having a daughter... (or more than one!) :)

Not to say that boys aren't special, too! I have three of those, and there's just nothing like them, either! :)

Anyway, congrats on finding out! And have fun planning feminine things. :)
